Call for Papers for the 12th Volume of Preservation Education & Research

The editors of Preservation Education & Research (PER) invite article manuscripts for the 12th (2019) volume of the journal.
PER is one of the leading academic journals focusing on disseminating peer-reviewed scholarship in historic preservation and related academic disciplines: heritage conservation, cultural resources management, preservation law, preservation economics and finance, building and landscape conservation, urban conservation, and public history. The National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE) launched PER in 2007 as part of its mission to disseminate historic preservation scholarship and improve historic preservation pedagogy. In 2019, the University of Minnesota Press will publish PER.
Volume 12 will be a special issue celebrating the new partnership between PER and the University of Minnesota Press with the theme: “Historic Preservation in the Second Decade of the 21st century.” We invite article manuscripts focusing on how historic preservation and preservation education have evolved over the last 20 years and the challenges it will face in the in the next decade. The editors welcome examples of scholarship in the following topics: The National Historic Preservation Act at 50?; Mid-century Modern Architecture Conservation; Preservation and the Aging Population; Diversity and Preservation; and Global Trends in Heritage Management.
All manuscripts should be submitted through to the editor, Paul Hardin Kapp, firstname.lastname@example.org . Articles must conform to the PER publication guidelines, which can be accessed at http://www.ncpe.us/publications/manuscript-submission-guidelines/ . All manuscripts are peer reviewed in a double-blind process. The deadline for submittal of article manuscripts is February 18, 2019 for Volume 12.
